Information Technology Software Courses

Computer Software is a common term employed to define the programmes and applications on a computer that may include computer data and instructions in an organized form. Inshort, it refers to the computer programmes. These are virtual programmes unlike computer hardware, hence it is difficult to describe them. These are some type of written codes prepared by computer programmars to be used in a computer system. The popularity of software courses like B.E/B.Tech signifies the importance of software in today's world.

 Two types of software exists. One, system software that indicates the basic functions of the computer, and application software to be available for users to perform specific purposes. A software program, it often installed on a disc, which is stored in a computer system. Software courses provides knowledge and skill to learners regarding the development and maintenance of software systems. Some commonly followed courses in the field are-Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering,Master of Engineering in Software Engineering,Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Software and Network Technology etc.

 A 10+2 qualification with science subjects biology, maths and chemistry is essential to get into undergraduate courses in software. IITs, give admission to only Joint Entrance Examinations (J.E.E) qualified candidates.B.E/B.Tech course is of 4 years duration. A master's degree in the field is of 2 years and require B.E/B.Tech or any other relevant engineering degrees foradmission.

 Software biggies in India namely Wipro Ltd, HCL Infosystems Ltd, Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Infosys Technologies Ltd, NIIT Ltd, IBM, Tata Infotech Ltd employ software engineers. some of the top MNC employers are Apple Computer, Dell etc who recruit skilled software professionals. Public/private sectors school and colleges also need software engineers, be it to maintain the systems or for teaching purposes. Good pay packages are offered to them.

 Experience play a vital role in the field of software. Freshers are assigned to test and design the programmes already offered, but it is only after gaining considerable knowledge in the field they may undertake to design and develop software. Else they can start their own software firms.
